Corey Cohen, who earned a reputation in the channel as marketing and events guru at TBI, is taking her talents to Intermedia.

Cohen has left the tech services distributor, where she most recently served as vice president of partner experience. She completed her last day at TBI on Sept. 3. She is now working as senior director of global channel marketing for Intermedia.

Cohen emphasized the strong opportunity facing Intermedia’s cloud communications portfolio.

“As the world continues to shift to hybrid work, Intermedia is incredibly well-positioned to help businesses transform the way they communicate and collaborate, with the partner community serving as guides to make it happen,” Cohen said in a statement to Channel Futures. “As a channel evangelist, I couldn’t think of a better place than Intermedia to bring my experience and expertise; I’m excited to help fuel further partner and company success.”

Intermedia’s Corey Cohen

Cohen joined TBI in 2015, bringing a PR and marketing background to the company. She worked her way up to vice president of marketing in 2019. Earlier this year she started as vice president of partner experience.

“During her time at TBI, Corey built an award-winning marketing team, and most recently, the foundation for our new partner loyalty program,” TBI said in an email announcement.

She also smashed the glass ceiling at TBI as the first woman to join on the company’s executive team in 2019.

“I’m so proud of what I was able to achieve at TBI the last six years. And now I’m thrilled to be joining a leader in cloud communications known for tremendous products, people, and a partner-first approach that drive the value and opportunity of the cloud every day. My role allows me to own channel marketing across the globe, where I will be working with an already stellar channel marketing group to help our sales teams, our partners, and our distributors maximize the potential that the cloud and cloud communications offer,” she said.

Intermedia, which nearly went public earlier this year, is not listed in the TBI supplier portfolio. The company lists MSPs, VARs and distributors as its main partners.

TBI Updates

Michelle Tamras is now serving as TBI’s director of partner experience. She joined the company earlier in the summer after a long stint as an AT&T channel manager. She reports to Scott Whalen, senior vice president of strategic partnerships.

In addition, TBI has increased its marketing and events team. The company recently hired Katie Staszcuk as senior events manager. It also hired Colleen Corey as field marketing coordinator and Maria Goroshina as marketing automation specialist.
