Broadvoice has named communications channel veteran Sean Johnston as vice president of channel partnerships and alliances. In this role, Johnston will lead the business communications provider’s channel strategy.

Prior to Broadvoice, Johnston was national channel director at 8×8, where he supported strategic partners. Before that, he held several positions at Mitel, finishing as senior channel account manager for the company’s CDW account. He also served as Mitel’s Canada cloud team lead.

Johnston’s first job at Broadvoice will be to build awareness and drive partner sales for the Broadvoice GoContact omnichannel cloud contact center solution. The company rolled it out to partners and customers in North America in January.

Broadvoice says GoContact helps it meet the UCaaS and CCaaS needs of ever-larger customers through partnerships. The company works with agents, VARs and MSPs.
