Airband Communications Inc. announced that Timothy W. Kinnear has joined the company as CFO and Layne L. Levine has been promoted to COO.

With 22 years of financial experience in technology and emerging businesses, Kinnear will lead all facets of Airband’s corporate and operational finances, including relationships with investors, merger-and-acquisition activities, and banking relationships. Prior to joining Airband, Kinnear was the CFO at WiQuest Communications. Earlier in his career, Kinnear held executive and senior management positions at InnerWireless, Intrusion Inc. and Cyrix Corp., where he provided financial leadership for Cyrix’s IPO.

Levine, Airband’s president of sales and marketing since September 2007, will retain those responsibilities while taking on all operations and customer support functions as COO. Levine has more than two decades of telecommunications expertise at companies such as Level 3 Communications and Broadwing Communications.
