LastPass partners have access to the company’s first partner program that aims to make it easier for them to help their customers prevent compromised credentials.

The Allegiance Partner Program also gives LastPass partners the opportunity to grow and generate more income through competitive margins on referrals, resells and integrated services. Partners include solution providers, MSPs and technology partners.

The program gives partners access to knowledge of LastPass’ products and services, alongside marketing, business development and technical support. LastPass Allegiance partners will have access to set of accruable and scalable benefits, such as rewards for both new customer sales as well as renewals.

Patrick McCue, LastPass‘ global vice president of partners, said previously LastPass was a product offering within the GoTo Partner Network.

“So we created a new program, from scratch, focused on the partner motions we will use at LastPass – solution providers (refer/resell), MSP or technology,” he said. “These go-to-market motions are different than the traditional agency models used by GoTo. As we separated LastPass from LogMeIn/GoTo, we needed a program that would be relevant as a security company and the community of partners within it.”

Benefits for LastPass Partners

Among program highlights for LastPass partners are:

  • A tier-based discount structure.

  • Deal registration.

  • Marketing support.

  • Technical and sales enablement.

  • Proof of concept and solution consulting support.

The program provides tailored benefits for each of the three partner categories:

  • Solution providers — companies looking to design, sell and implement LastPass solutions for their end customers.

  • MSPs — those who want to offer a managed service to their end customers which incorporates LastPass offerings.

  • For technology and developer partners looking to promote and scale activities with LastPass to drive sales and usage of the partners’ solution, as well as LastPass, while bringing value to LastPass customers.

LastPass University

In addition to the Allegiance program, all LastPass partners have access to LastPass University, an online training platform that informs, educates and helps partners expand their LastPass practice by providing sales accreditations and technical certifications required to progress through the program. Partner organizations will need to complete training to determine their partner tier and receive benefits that are commensurate with their level.

Benefits will be available for silver, gold and platinum partners, with the objective of identifying new and expanded market opportunities.

The program aims to make it easier for partners to work with LastPass, McCue said.

“We now have a LastPass-specific portal allowing for easy access to all relevant marketing, enablement, support, and deal registration and reporting,” he said. “This will not only streamline access, but give them full LastPass University curriculum. This is in addition to new standard discounts based on program tier.  Having one program for all partner types simplifies the overall process as well.”
