The video, from our sister site MSPmentor, covers:
During Cisco Partner Summit in Boston, the company outlined its revamped managed services partner program — which will now be available to VARs and solutions providers that don’t have their own NOCs (network operation centers). Surinder Brar, senior director of marketing for Cisco’s worldwide channels, offers an overview of the revised managed services partner program, in this video…
The video, from our sister site MSPmentor, covers:
- Cisco’s original Managed Services Partner Program — what is was
- Cisco’s new program — what it is
- Requirements — no more need for a NOC
- Opportunities — partner to partner collaboration, and white labeled managed services from peer VARs and MSPs
My Reaction
Since I blog non-stop about managed services, I’m surprised Cisco and many other big IT companies don’t have strong MSP channel partner programs in place. But on the other hand, it seems like networking companies (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) are working hard to get their managed services strategies in order. We’ll be watching Cisco’s revamped managed services partner program closely when it launches in August 2009.

Does cisco plan to offer its own network operation center for partners to white label as their own?
@Frankie Says: I don’t believe Cisco plans to offer a NOC that VARs/MSPs can rebrand as their own. But it’s a great question and I will pose it to Cisco today.
