Omnipoint to use OSI’s Billing Solution

(www.osi.com), a provider of integrated service and network management solutions, recently announced that Omnipoint Communications Inc.
(www.omnipoint.com) has licensed the AM Exel accounting management solution.

Omnipoint will use the product to automate the collection and management of billing records for its No Fee Prepay wireless calling plan. With this single system, Omnipoint can collect records from its multivendor GSM network, normalize the data into a common format and send it to the billing system.

Omnipoint previously outsourced its billing, but sought a
more cost-effective way to handle billing data for its No Fee Prepay customers.

“We wanted to ensure our customers were getting the level of information they needed to make informed decisions,” says Chris Resavy, Omnipoint senior director for technology. “Providing them with a higher level of service is what sets Omnipoint apart.”
