File-sharing software company WatchDox has partnered with mobile device management (MDM) vendor MobileIron to integrate the collaboration service with the MobileIron AppConnect ecosystem.

The integration enables a single sign-on process for customer employees to access files from mobile devices, while also keeping files synced to MobileIron managed devices. It also provides IT with policy controls to secure and manage data.

WatchDox Chief Product Officer Ryan Kalember said in a prepared statement that both companies are working together “to provide secure mobile access to corporate files and enable enhanced productivity and collaboration.

“With this deeper integration, our joint customers gain the simplicity of WatchDox’s full suite of mobile features for seamless editing, annotating and sharing of files via any mobile device,” he said.

“Our work with WatchDox ensures that every file remains secure and can only be edited or accessed by those with permission,” MobileIron Strategy Vice President Ojas Rege said in a statement. “The partnership simultaneously provides convenience for our customers and an elegant user experience.”

WatchDox also recently announced a partnership with UST Global, an IT outsourcing company.
