Communications lifecycle management software and services provider Tangoe, Inc. (TNGO) is offering a Mobile Lifecycle Advisory Service that evaluates how an organization’s preparation to manage and leverage mobility.

The service assessment looks at five mobility objectives: strategy, cost management, risk management, productivity enablement and innovation.

Tangoe Senior Vice President Garrett Long told MSPmentor via email that a complete assessment can create a roadmap and framework for mobility initiatives going forward. That’s an option that should appeal to MSPs.

“This is useful to managed service providers because it provides a framework within which to position their offering,” he said. “For providers offering multiple services it provides a clear roadmap to show how various service complement one another and fit in to an overall mobility plan.”

Tangoe president and CEO Al Subbloie said in his prepared remarks that mobile communications have created overwhelming opportunities for businesses, but new capabilities need to be managed.

“Through the Mobile Lifecycle Advisory Service, Tangoe helps organizations assess their current mobility environments and create a roadmap with actionable strategies helping them to balance productivity and innovation with cost and risk management,” he said.

The light version of the service includes a review of the organization’s strategy and cost management, an assessment of current contracts, and an overview of the organization’s mobile estate, while the full version includes a review of mobile-related risk, productivity, and innovation across the organization. These services are offered on an annual or recurring quarterly basis.

The company also recently enhanced its Managed Mobility Solution’s (MMS) forward and reverse logistics capabilities and expanded its Austin, Texas location to include a depot logistics facility in June 2013.
