Sprint is trying to keep with the Joneses, announcing its 4G LTE network is available in 41 new markets this week, bringing its total to 151. Rival AT&T said today it’s up and running in 10 new markets.

Sprint’s new LTE cities include everything from metropolises like Philadelphia; the Bronx and Brooklyn, N.Y., and Portland, Ore., to more out-of-the-way burgs like Kokomo, Ind., and Holland, Mich.

“Sprint is committed to delivering the latest technology and providing more energy efficient cell sites,” said Bob Azzi, senior vice president-network, Sprint. “We strive to be environmentally responsible and are proud of our track record. Our new 3G and 4G LTE network provides improved wireless service, and is also expected to help Sprint meet its commitment to reduce total energy demand and the companys carbon footprint by 20 percent by 2017.”

Sprint features a variety of 4G LTE devices, including the new HTC 8XT, Sprints first Windows Phone 8 device; the popular Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.

Sprint plans to extend its LTE network to 200 million people by the end of 2013.
