Sex Study: iPhone Owners Have More Partners

Consumers might be debating this question for years to come: Which operating system is better, Apples iOS or Android?” But a more important question (yes, this is tongue-in-cheek) might be, Which owners get more, um, action iPhone owners or Android-based smartphone owners?”

The new sex study was conducted by OKCupid, an online dating service, which determined that iPhone owners average approximately 11 partners by the age of 30 thats 10 for men and 12.3 for women. BlackBerry owners averaged 8.5 partners by the time they hit the big 3-0, and those with Android phones were chaste by comparison just six partners.

When comparing by age, iPhone owners started leaving their BlackBerry and Android counterparts behind in their mid-20s. At age 24, there was only an average difference of two sex partners (iPhone 5, BlackBerry 4, Android 3), but by age 27, the average iPhone owner had shot up to 10, while BlackBerry owners were at seven and Android fans at just four.

Sample size for the survey was nearly 10,000. What does this say about smartphone owners? Not much, probably. Dont expect to see a new Apple ad highlighting these results. But the company probably wont be upset if word gets around.
