Mitel Enhances Mobile Voice, Data Service

By Charlene O'Hanlon

Mitel has enhanced its Mitel Mobile voice and data service with two new capabilities that offer greater integration data provisioning.

The first, Mobile Wireless Integration, enables users to access their entire corporate voice network from their mobile device, offering the same functionality and convenience as a desk phone for both inbound and outbound calls and providing access to Mitels mobility, conferencing, and collaborating applications.

The second, Adaptive Mobile Connect, which offers hybrid 3G/4G data services. Users are connected at 4G speeds when available, and 3G speeds when 4G access is limited or nonexistent. In addition, Adaptive Mobile Connect also provides a disaster recovery capability should wireline service be interrupted.

With demand for 3G and 4G capabilities growing quickly, becoming a leader in offering hybrid 3G/4G service packaged with our unified communications solutions was the next logical step,” said Jon Brinton, president of Mitel NetSolutions, which offers Mitel Mobile. Mitel Mobile users can unify their multiple devices for all their voice and data needs; the service bundles the benefits of mobile services and the corporate voice network, all on mobile devices.”
