Automated security control solution vendor ForeScout Technologies has extended its Network Access Control (NAC)- as-a-service (NACaaS) to include mobile security in a platform packaged for managed service providers. The MSP package combines ForeScout Mobile add-on modules with the NAC solution CounterACT to provide an integrated solution to manage bring-your-own-device environments.

The ForeScout Mobile Security Module captures and stores information about the device, its user, its configuration, its apps and its security posture for iOS and Android platforms.  The solution relies on the ForeScout Mobile app which enables enforcement of an array of policy-based controls at the client level.

“Network access control is a foundational security tool for IT consumerization,” Scott Gordon, VP of worldwide marketing at ForeScout, told MSPmentor.  “NAC can identify, classify and limit access of unmanaged mobile devices on corporate networks while providing the necessary layer of network security to complement device, application and data-level protection such as that from MDM.”

ForeScout CounterACT NAC lets any IT organization to get real-time visibility and automated control over who, how, when and what devices are connecting to the enterprise, the company said in a statement. All devices are identified and controlled whether wired, wireless, PC, mobile, corporate provisioned or personal.

The add on modules that make up ForeScout Mobile enable security teams to gain granular intelligence, security assessment and enforcement options for mobile devices.
