Ericsson (ERIC) has unveiled four solutions designed to “support communication service providers in capturing the business opportunities created as the 5G era moves closer.”

The telecommunications company noted it will showcase its new solutions at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona, Spain later this month.

Ericsson’s new solutions include:

  • Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) offerings — Ericsson said its new WCDMA Flow of Users, Zero Touch WCDMA and Mobile Broadband Expander enable telecom operators “to double WCDMA network performance and to triple operational efficiency.”

  • Advanced Ericsson Radio System software and hardware — Ericsson’s new Radio System software and hardware are designed to address LTE growth opportunities.

  • Service Operations Center (SOC) and Experience Management Center (EMC) — Included in Ericsson’s Experience Centric Managed Services offering, these new solutions are designed to help telecom operators better understand service quality and the customer experience.

  • Revenue Manager — Offers a billing product for digital service providers that enables them to “launch new products and services in days,” according to Ericsson.

Ericsson recently predicted the 5G market will grow significantly in the near future.

In its Nov. 2015 Mobility Report, Ericsson predicted 5G will become a popular choice for consumers over the next few years, particularly as the demand for Internet of Things (IoT) devices increases.

“5G is about more than faster mobile services — it will enable new use cases related to the Internet of Things information and communications technology transformation will become even more common across industries as 5G moves from vision to reality in the coming years,” Ericsson Chief Strategy Officer Rima Qureshi said in a prepared statement. “ICT transformation will become even more common across industries as 5G moves from vision to reality in the coming years.”
