Xand, DBSi Merge, Become Data Center Force

Xand and DBSi have merged to create a privately held data center firm in the Northeast. Xand says it will add three premium, raised-floor facilities in Pennsylvania to a trio of data centers in New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut that serve more than 1,000 customers with colocation, business continuity, cloud and managed services.

The companies say the merger will create an opportunity for businesses of all sizes to deploy regionally diverse primary and secondary IT environments across three major metropolitan areas (New York, Boston and Philadelphia) and four states.

Xand was acquired by ABRY Partners in October of 2011 and then merged with Access Northeast of Marlboro, Massachusetts in March of 2012.
