North Carolina-based MSP Biz Technology Solutions, known for its accomplishments in the Microsoft ecosystem, will tap into New Charter Technologies‘ private equity-backed funding through a partnership.

Biz Technology Solutions (BTS) announced the deal with New Charter, which belongs to investment firm Oval Partners‘ portfolio. Neither is saying how much money exchanged hands. BTS’ leadership team will stay in their positions, and the company will retain its headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Mike Chouffani has been president of BTS for 25 years. He said the deal lets BTS scale its services, technology and talent.

“Time is money for our clients, and when something is not going well, we in the technology business need to have the ability to dispatch quickly no matter the client’s location. Joining New Charter is a big plus for our clients in that regard,” Chouffani said.

He said the partnership allows his team to focus on their role as “technologists.”

“New Charter will be an extension of us that will bolster our business, while simultaneously allowing us to preserve our company culture and our brand. Bottom line, this partnership will help accelerate our growth and really allow us to better serve our clients across the nation.”

New Charter states in its five pillars that it seeks to partner with high-margin business owners who want to stay at their company. Almost a year ago, New Charter stated that 17 founders from the 18 companies were still on board. New Charter has gone on to announce more partnership, most recently with SMB-focused MSP DS Tech.
