IT GLUE X — IT Glue, a Kaseya company, just announced that it is acquiring TruMethods. This will integrate myITprocess with IT Glue. The combined processes will deliver what the companies say is a powerful virtual CIO (vCIO) software platform. The goal is for MSPs to be able to build more strategic relationships with their customers.

Virtual CIO (vCIO) Offering

IT Glue’s Nadir Merchant

Nadir Merchant is CTO and general manager of IT Glue.

“As MSPs mature, a vCIO offering will become a must-have capability in their arsenal,” said Merchant. “Ninety-five percent of myITprocess users use IT Glue, which demonstrates just how well our products go hand-in-hand. As we worked on this integration, it became clear that we could do so much more for the MSP community by going beyond just the technology. This acquisition is a milestone for our industry as Gary Pica – a legend in the MSP space – and his team join forces with IT Glue to take MSPs to even greater heights.” (Merchant spoke at length about the acquisition on Tuesday’s Coffee with Craig and James podcast.)

myITprocess is a vCIO solution that enables MSPs to deliver technical services through a proactive, repeatable process. Essentially, MSPs use the solution to quickly analyze clients’ technical environments. It can also establish IT standards, make business recommendations, and track client feedback. Now, together with IT Glue, MSPs have a one-two punch that synchronizes all their IT Glue configurations within myITprocess, the companies said. This will accurately guide client quarterly business reviews that lead to new projects — not to mention new sources of revenue and stronger client relationships.

TruMethods’ Gary Pica

“When I launched TruMethods in 2009, Kaseya was our primary sponsor,” Gary Pica, founder and president of TruMethods, told Channel Futures. “It seems fitting that Kaseya would play a huge role in the next step of our evolution. Our mission of impacting the lives and business results of MSP leaders remains the same. Kaseya enables us to greatly expand our reach in a way that would not be possible without them. The industry is changing quickly and I plan to help guide MSPs through those changes as I have for over a decade.”

Kaseya’s Fred Voccola

Fred Voccola is CEO of Kaseya.

“The MSP community is indebted to Gary for the incredible work he’s done throughout his career,” said Voccola. “Gary was one of the first channel leaders I met when I joined Kaseya almost six years ago. I was immediately impressed with his industry expertise, hands-on success in growing his own MSP businesses, and his true commitment to helping other MSPs by sharing his methodology. Gary and his team have built an incredible organization, and we’re excited to help MSPs around the globe scale their businesses through the integration between myITprocess and IT Glue as well as the TruMethods peer groups.”

Pica and his team will continue to lead TruMethods and its peer groups.

IT Glue is hosting its annual GlueX event virtually this week.
