Synnex and RingCentral on Monday announced a new partnership that will deliver unified communications and collaboration (UCC), cloud communications, and contact center solutions to U.S. channel partners.

RingCentral, along with Cisco, Avaya and Five9, are current Synnex unified communication as a service (UCaaS) and contact center as a Service (CCaS) technology partners. This latest agreement centers around the delivery of new offers.

“Our channel partners are inundated with customers asking for UCaaS and CCaaS solutions,” said Zane Long, senior vice president of global channel sales at RingCentral. “By working with a master agent like Synnex, we’re able to scale our reach in the channel community, helping more partners bring their customers our leading solutions. We’re excited to be working with Synnex and look forward to collaborating with their global base of partners in the future.”

Earlier this month, RingCentral grabbed the limelight when it announced that it entered a strategic partnership Avaya. In a $500 million deal, RingCentral will be Avaya’s exclusive provider of UCaaS solutions. The news ended a long bout of speculation about Avaya being an acquisition target. The deal is also expected to produce new offerings.

Avaya last week announced plans to launch, in 2020, a new CCaaS platform designed to allow businesses to transition from their on-premises deployments to a multitenant, enterprise-grade cloud architecture deployed on any public cloud platform. This announcement comes just days following the RingCentral news.

“Our UCC strategy is built around helping customers transition from traditional UC to today’s new collaborative market,” said TJ Trojan, senior vice president, North America at Synnex. “RingCentral aligns well with our strategy by delivering cohesive solutions that help businesses effectively communicate across the globe from a single platform.”

Synnex will help broaden RingCentral’s channel reach while supporting partner enablement and onboarding. Partners will also be able to turn to Synnex for its UCC, cloud, voice and video-conferencing expertise.

In a recent IDC MarketScape report, a new vendor assessment for 2019, IDC noted that the worldwide UCC market is expected to increase to $48.3 billion in 2023, a 7.1% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2019-2023.

“Decisions are past due for many organizations that have not yet migrated their legacy voice platforms (i.e. analog, digital, TDM) to new IP telephony, VoIP, or UCC solutions. Organizations should have already planned for this fundamental shift in business communications,” said Rich Costello, senior research analyst, unified communications  & collaboration/enterprise communications infrastructure at IDC.

Synnex has longstanding channel expertise and full portfolio of products, platforms and services that include and extend into cloud, unified communications and collaboration, voice, video conferencing and IoT that complement those from RingCentral, according to Trojan.

“Our goal in this market segment, like RingCentral, is to help our partners’ customers seamlessly enhance productivity and collaboration, he said.
