Synnex Corp. today announced new vendor partnerships — Aerohive Networks and Symantec Corp., and an expanded agreement with F5 Networks — that will bolster its secure network offerings to partners and their customers.

The distributor’s latest partnerships are in response to evolving end-user demands and security’s central role in effective cloud and managed services platforms. These technologies and solutions are addressed by the Synnex Secure Networking Group, which delivers a comprehensive, end-to-end portfolio of advanced technology solutions, services and support.

Today’s announcement includes three new offerings: Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEP Cloud), the enhanced distribution agreement with F5 and a wireless-as-a-service (WaaS) offering from Aerohive.

The WaaS offering makes Aerohive’s HiveManager NG wireless-as-a-service product available on the Synnex CloudSolv platform. When a partner places an order on the self-serve CloudSolv platform it automatically activates the network, decreasing time to market and increasing the partner’s service-level agreements (SLAs) with their customers. Resellers have a single interface to track their Synnex invoices, organized by each individually managed environment.

According to Synnex, Aerohive HiveManager NG is next-generation management software that harnesses the power of a cloud platform, delivering data insights that can lead to new revenue streams. Resellers can extend beyond basic Wi-Fi to offer services such as management, support, design and more to end customers.

“Aerohive is excited to be working with Synnex to enable partners to quickly move to managed services,” said Michael O’Brien, vice president, global channels, Aerohive Networks. “By leveraging the Synnex portfolio of services, Aerohive is now able to offer an opex-based wireless-as-a-service solution, which addresses the needs of partners and end users for capital light solutions. Synnex’s class-leading CloudSolv platform means our partners can quote and sell a managed service offering with just a few clicks. We couldn’t be more thrilled about our choice in selecting Synnex as our distribution partner to bring these dynamic services to market,” O’Brien added.

MSPs get access to Symantec’s enterprise-grade cloud security, a security-as-a-service solution that manages PC, Mac, mobile devices, and serves through a single console. Partners can access and manage SEP through the CloudSolv Marketplace.

According to Synnex, SEP Cloud protects against ransomware, zero-day threats and other sophisticated attacks using advanced multilayered technologies including machine learning and behavior analysis. SEP Cloud also offers flexible billing options from the Cloudsolv Marketplace, including monthly, annual, device-only and encryption management.

And, there’s more to come. Symantec and Synnex said they’ll expand the portfolio of security products offered through the CloudSolv Marketplace over the next 12-18 months.

On the F5 front, Synnex is expanding its solutions to offer F5’s cloud–focused and security offerings, and is introducing a new suite of enablement tools for current F5 Networks partners. The collaboration between the vendors also means that partners can enjoy leveraged regional advanced tech summits with cloud security and networking specialists; complimentary cloud security and next-gen networking playbooks that include go-to-market plays; advanced technology solutions consultative support for cloud upsell, cross-sell and solution-selling; and monthly training, webinars and newsletters on security and networking for the cloud, according to Synnex.
