ScanSource Partners Get Boost in Professional Services Support

ScanSource will partner with three well-established firms for expanded services and support.

ScanSource partners selling contact center (CCaaS) and unified communications (UCaaS) solutions are getting more services support.

The provider of technology products and services is bringing in three third-party contact center consulting companies. These three new relationships are with PPT Solutions, Epic Connections, and Vesuvitas. Their expertise will boost support for ScanSource and Intelisys partners.

“By partnering with these well-established firms, ScanSource is able to provide our partners with a new level of support for their UCaaS and CCaaS needs,” said Ray Nelson, senior vice president, technical sales and services at ScanSource. “PPT Solutions, Epic Connections and Vesuvitas offer best-in-class technology and business advisory services, each with their own specialized expertise and within particular business verticals. Through these new offerings, we are enabling our partners to advance deals and close more transactions.”

We recently compiled a list of 20 top UCaaS providers offering products and services via channel partners.

Robust Services

The services ScanSource and Intellisys partners will see include sourcing and migration strategies, contact center strategic assessments, cloud infrastructure implementation, business optimization and performance management. VARs and agents will have access to resources while in the discovery phase with their customers. The process should improve customer interactions by identifying the current state of the customer’s business. Additionally, partners will provide thought leadership and guidance on best practices to fit a customer’s specific business strategy.

In late July, ScanSource announced impending layoffs as revenue from its most recent quarter was expected to decline about 20% year over year. ScanSource laid out where it would make $30 million in cuts. Those cuts included eliminating 200 jobs and other expenses. The $30 million in savings will occur over four quarters.

One of the changes ScanSource implemented was closing its Canpango business. This was a Salesforce implementation business that the distributor acquired two years ago.

At the same time, ScanSource noted that master agent Intelisys, which it bought three years ago, is growing, boosted in particular by UCaaS and CCaaS sales.

IDC in April reported that worldwide revenue for the unified communications and collaboration market reached $38.8 billion in 2019. This figure represents year over year growth of nearly 18%. This latest research is part of the research firm’s worldwide unified communications and collaboration QView.

“This enhanced QView provides a comprehensive view of the UC&C market and vendors in terms of both revenue and shipments, as well as UC&C technology segmentation,” said Rich Costello, senior research analyst, unified communications & collaboration at IDC. “Areas of particular interest and adoption today, especially in light of the current pandemic, are well-represented in this IDC view of the global market, including cloud-based voice/UC, videoconferencing, and collaboration, among others.”
