Walsh, a co-founder of the company, held the title of senior vice president, partner solutions at Pax8 for a little more than three years before being named chief channel officer. In his new job, Walsh is responsible for steering the company’s IT channel strategy, partner solutions and vendor relations. He will continue to report to company CEO, John Street.

“Ryan is an outstanding leader who has a proven track record of success helping MSPs grow their business through vendor curation and award-winning cloud solutions,” said Street. “As the chief channel officer at Pax8, Ryan will focus his efforts on providing the resources and well-configured cloud solutions that help partners gain efficiency, scale, and capture new profitable revenue streams,” he added.

The channel chief role at Pax8 was carved out for Ryan. He’ll not only continue to manage the product team but will also lead the strategic direction of the company’s channel strategy, deliver new collaborative solutions for partners through Pax8 stacks, and develop new ways for partners to automate their businesses with cloud solutions.

Walsh has more than a decade of experience in IT, having spent more than 10 years at MX Logic and later McAfee, after the MX Logic acquisition, among other positions. Walsh currently serves as co-chair of CompTIA’s Distribution Council, is a member of Penton’s Think Tank organization, and often speaks at industry events.
