HPE on Wednesday broadened its Small Business Solutions portfolio, which combines servers, storage, software, networking and cloud, with new options such as HPE ProLiant Gen 10 servers, HPE StoreEasy storage, Aruba switches and Wi-Fi access points, data retention and more.

HPE partners are key, though not the exclusive route to market, for delivering these Small Business Solutions offers to customers, which were first introduced last October. Partners now have access to this updated portfolio that includes additional configured, tested and validated solutions, and they can also augment these deals with HPE Pointnext Foundation Care and pay-as-you-grow financing through HPE Financial Services. While HPE Pointnext Foundation Care and the pay-as-you-grow financing aren’t new, promoting them as key components of the Small Business Solutions is new.

“To compete in today’s market, small businesses need to direct their energy and resources to creating new value and experiences for their customers,” said Tim Peters, vice president and general manager, Transactional SMB Group at HPE. “At HPE, we’re energized by our small business customers’ successes and are committed to advancing their efforts with solutions, guidance, support and flexible payment options that let them focus on their business, not IT.”

Here’s a closer look at today’s announcement:

  • HPE solutions for small business have been enhanced to support up to 100 users and 200 simultaneously connected devices. Customers can now expand their office environments with HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers, newly added HPE StoreEasy 1660 storage, and twice as many secure business-class Aruba network switches and Wi-Fi access points with simple point-and-click tools to accelerate setup.

  • HPE now offers a high-availability storage solution based on HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10, and now with a choice of Microsoft Azure Stack HCI or VMware vSAN software.

  • To help small business customers restore normal operations after planned or unplanned events, HPE offers file backup tailored to a company’s size and budget with the HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 server and MSA 1050 array (up to 150 users) and the ProLiant DL325 Gen10 server and MSA 2052 hybrid array (up to 250 users).

  • Customers can centralize, protect and recover valuable data with a choice of removable disk or tape backup solutions with virtually unlimited capacity. The HPE RDX Backup System delivers portability with removable cartridge capacities of up to 4TB to file essential data to take anywhere, and offers data access in case of IT blackouts. For larger, archived data, the StoreEver MSL 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader delivers up to 240TB of storage.
