Salesforce with its partners Thursday unveiled the newest apps available in its marketplace across commerce, sales, service and marketing.
A hub for partners and customers, Salesforce AppExchange offers cloud, mobile, social, IoT, analytics and AI technologies for businesses, and includes more 7 million customer installs.
Charlie Richey, vice president of product management for Salesforce AppExchange, tells us the solutions were built by technology partners, such as CloudSense and Coveo, on top of the Salesforce platform.

“They can be used to solve specific challenges that customers face throughout their digital transformation journeys,” he said. “Customer demand is what drives the creation of all solutions across product categories. In every industry, we’re seeing digitally native companies taking over the market share and profits that incumbents spent many decades building. And it is happening fast. The introduction of these solutions presents an exciting opportunity for AppExchange to help companies of all sizes and industries innovate in today’s rapidly changing technology landscape.”
The new AppExchange product collection for commerce cloud aims to simplify the process of finding the right partner-built commerce solution to meet customers’ needs, Richey said. This collection allows customers to build commerce experiences that are customized to unique business needs, and future-proofed with investment in a dedicated marketplace for business-driving apps, he said.
“Brands can leverage these partner-built solutions to deliver consumer experiences that are tailored to individual facets of e-commerce, including content management, shipping, subscriptions, AI-powered search and more,” he said.
With the new billing payment apps, companies can capture payment information during e-signature or easily connect their payment gateway to Salesforce billing without needing to build or maintain the integration, Richey said.
“Customers today expect fast and accurate service, and companies can deliver this by automating the repetitive portions of service interactions (for example, automating billing, processing emails) with Einstein Bot and robotic process automation (RPA) packages,” he said. “This empowers agents to focus on tasks that require critical thinking, complex problem solving or empathy – the human side of service – and ultimately means a better experience for the customer.”
Consumer demands are constantly evolving, and Salesforce’s partners are critical to delivering customer success, Richey said.
“By continuing to grow and evolve Salesforce AppExchange, we’re helping customers power their digital transformations, which is fueled in part by the continued rise of cloud computing, as well as social, mobile, IoT and AI technologies,” he said. “According to IDC’s Salesforce Economic Impact White Paper, worldwide spending on public cloud computing between 2019 and the end of 2024 will grow 19% annually, with nearly 50% of that spend tied to digital transformation. In addition, IDC finds that Salesforce and its ecosystem of partners will create 4.2 million new jobs and $1.2 trillion in new business revenues worldwide between 2019 and 2024.”
