RingCentral is rolling out new enterprise products, including an open platform expansion, new APIs and a cloud reliability product.
The RingCentral open platform has more than 20,000 developers and more than 2,000 integrations. With RingCentral Embeddable, developers now will have the ability to integrate communications and collaboration capabilities into their enterprise application workflows within minutes.
RingCentral also announced extensions to its API library with new e-discovery and message-retention APIs. The new APIs will give developers direct access to communication information related to voice, text message, fax, account configuration and communications data for RingCentral customers.
RingCentral Embeddable and the new open APIs are immediately available to customers globally.
In addition, the company rolled out the new RingCentral Persist, which allows enterprise customers to maintain communications services – including emergency calling, extension-to-extension dialing, and inbound and outbound calling – in case of an internet failure at a customer’s location. Persist will be available to customers globally next quarter.
Zane Long, RingCentral’s senior vice president of global channel sales, tells Channel Partners that partners are critical to all of his company’s large deals and these solutions are part of our “strategic road map to support higher density customers.”
RingCentral’s Zane Long
“With our ISV partners, we leverage how working together is better for our customer,” he said. “For example, we drive productivity for the Google G suite user by giving quick access to RingCentral for messaging, calling and scheduling meetings all within their everyday apps, like Gmail and, better yet, this access is across mobile, desktop or preferred browser.”
With its APIs and software development kits (SDKs), RingCentral’s developers who might be customers or ISV partners “can build in our sandbox environment, leverage our developer community, use our Embeddable widget — to quickly build communication workflows that enhance their business with voice, meetings, messages and much more,” Long said.
RingCentral Persist will allow partners to sell into customer bases that have higher safety requirements or other critical communications requirements, Long said.
“Examples can include stadiums, universities, retailers or any large enterprise,” he said. “RingCentral partners can work with [the] RingCentral ProServe team to build out an architecture for deployment and ensure business continuity.”
Both of these offerings are part of RingCentral’s effort to meet the growing requirements of enterprise customers, Long said. RingCentral also is working with Ericsson to offer a new, prequalified and pre-integrated communications offering that allows service providers to bring voice over long-term evolution (VoLTE) cloud communications solutions to businesses around the world.
