Corporate IT Solutions Introduces DaaS Offering

Corporate IT Solutions has launched its pCloud Workspace desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) solution to deliver “a complete enterprise cloud offering for a fixed fee with unlimited application access and availability from any device.”

The Norwood, Massachusetts-based managed service provider (MSP) said pCloud Workspace provides users with system management and automatic software upgrades while eliminating upfront infrastructure and deployment costs.

Additionally, the DaaS solution supports private and public cloud deployments, Corporate IT Solutions said, and enables customers to transition between both of these cloud options as needed.

“Desktop management is a growing challenge for several reasons but the main driver has been the growth of mobility and its impact on employee and organizational productivity,” a Corporate IT Solutions spokesperson told MSPmentor. “We felt the best way to address these requirements is through a comprehensive desktop-as-a-service solution. It’s secure, it works across multiple platforms and devices, it reduces the burden of desktop support and it allows employees to work from anywhere.”

Other pCloud Workspace features include:

  • 24×7 monitoring

  • 99.99 percent uptime guarantee

  • Access to any app from any device via the cloud

  • Infinite scalability

  • Support for over 1,000 apps

Corporate IT Solutions also noted that pCloud Workspace is managed and secured on-site at its Boston data center.

So what should MSPs expect from the DaaS market going forward? Corporate IT Solutions and other service providers could profit from DaaS, especially if the demand for desktop virtualization solutions continues to increase.

For example, a Nov. 2014 report from IndependenceIT and Gigaom Research revealed cost savings, disaster recovery efficiency and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) were some of the key factors driving DaaS adoption. Researchers also noted that financial benefits were cited as the top reason for considering DaaS.
