CloudCheckr has released a new product designed to help businesses deal with the complexities of public cloud infrastructure. At the same time, the company also announced it is expanding its sales and marketing thanks to the securing of a new round of funding led by Garrison Fund and Genessee Capital.
CloudCheckr Pro is meant to help simplify public cloud infrastructures for the company’s customers. The solution is broken up into three modules to make this happen:
Resource Control is a module that provides complete visibility into users’ deployments. Included in the module are historical snapshots, current inventory, trending reports and change monitoring to provide accurate, up-to-date visibility into the current state and scope of a user’s cloud. Additionally, it’s also meant to plan for the future.
The Cost Optimization module was designed to analyze users’ costs and then present actionable recommendations. CloudCheckr Pro captures and analyzes utilization data to discover under-, over- and properly utilized resources before giving purchase recommendations based on actual workloads. It also provides cost scenarios so organizations can streamline their cloud infrastructure and select more cost-effective pricing models.
The Best Practices module finds misconfigurations and exceptions within users’ deployments. It reports exceptions that affect security, cost, availability and usage on a daily basis so organizations have the most up-to-date information and can react or plan accordingly. It also prioritizes issues and gives detailed instructions on how organizations can remedy identified deficiencies.
Add to this $2 million of funding from Garrison and Genesee, and CloudCheckr seems poised for growth.
“We will use this additional funding to bolster our marketing efforts while we continue to build for additional public cloud platforms,” said Aaron Newman, CloudCheckr’s CEO, in a prepared statement.
