Bridging the Gap to the Future of Cloud

Over 4,000 VMware partners, in over 80 countries around the globe, gathered together and Dared to Thrive at this ever-growing and evolving high-tech industry event—Partner Exchange 2015.

The event unveiled a major product launch and partnership as it kicked off with a General Session keynote, led by VMware President and Chief Operating Officer Carl Eschenbach. He challenged three members of the company’s leadership team to describe the value proposition of a specific part of the business in just five minutes.

  • Bill Fathers, EVP and GM of Cloud Services at VMware, discussing hybrid cloud

  • Raghu Raghuram, EVP of the Software Defined Data Center Division at VMware, discussing the value proposition of the software defined data center

  • Sanjay Poonen, Executive Vice President and General Manager of End-User Computing at VMware, discussing the current and future state of end-user computing

VMware vCloud Air 5-Minute Elevator Pitch

The Public Cloud is part of our customers’ vision of the future, yet only 5%  of workloads have  been moved there. We need to help our customers build a bridge to the future. For VMware, the vCloud Air platform represents this bridge.

It is safe, easy and quick. It is also a vSphere-based public cloud offering and the only public cloud platform that comes pre-integrated, since it is built on same SDDC platform used to run on-prem. vCloud Air delivers a self-service model to customers, and they pay only for what they use. It is the safest part of the public cloud, since it comes with network integration; the easiest, since customers don’t have to reinvent themselves; and the quickest, because customers don’t have to rewrite their applications. No modification is needed.

To learn more about the value the hybrid cloud provides, the benefits it has already delivered to our customers and what is in it for you, be sure to watch this video.

VMware Software-Defined Data Center 5-Minute Elevator Pitch

The Software-Defined Data Center is a winning customer strategy and a way for partners to build long-lasting and meaningful relationships by helping their customers on this journey to SDDC.

The Software-Defined Data Center addresses three customer concerns:

  • Speed/ Agility

  • Security

  • Cloud/ IT Economics

Until recently, only the largest cloud scale data centers could solve these problems because they adopted an architecture that was based on software. They turned infrastructure into software, and they delivered services while automating it every step of the way.

We have taken the same approach and adapted it to the needs of the modern-day Enterprise. The result is the architecture that we call the Software-Defined Data Center. Learn more about this approach by watching this video.

VMware End-User Computing 5-Minute Elevator Pitch

End-user computing is all about business mobility–not just devices, but about being on the move. It allows every user to work at the speed of life. The mobile world is heterogeneous, from desktops to a Tesla. You need something to manage and secure everything from iOS to Android. To do this, VMware has built the world’s pre-eminent suite—the VMware Workspace Suite. This is built on three core pillars: desktop, mobility and content. The best part about this suite is that it is seamlessly integrates with the Software-Defined Data Center. Learn more about VMware’s EUC roadmap by watching this video.
