Mimecast is revamping its partner program to simplify and scale partners’ business models and routes to market.

The Mimecast Partner One partner program will enable partners to grow and scale through a network with go-to-market (GTM) engagement and investment. In addition to unifying the channel foundation, the program offers new benefits such as an accelerated GTM strategy for partners to gain market share through performance-based programs, and an enablement model supported by a team committed to partners’ long-term success.

Stan de Boisset, Mimecast‘s senior vice president of worldwide partners, said customers’ needs are constantly evolving. Furthermore, cybersecurity threats are on the rise and there are no signs they will slow down soon.

“Customers want to get the most value out of their solutions, and partners are there for every step to ensure this becomes a reality,” he said. “We identified the need to evolve our partner program under a unified structure. To continue expanding our channel efforts and establish the company as partner-first, we’re revamping our VAR approach to improve consistency in the tools we offer, increase investments to drive the overall partner experience, and expand the resources available across our network. Through Mimecast Partner One, we’re making it easier and more fruitful for our partners to work with us and for customers to take full advantage of cybersecurity offerings across our vast network. We have a responsibility to keep our 42,000 global customers safe, our partners are essential in this mission.”

Partner Program to Continue Evolving

Mimecast’s new reseller program, which is already available in the United States and United Kingdom, with all other markets launching in October, is designed and built on the Mimecast Partner One foundation. Mimecast’s expansion into new markets such as France is in line with the company’s commitment to a global product portfolio expansion.

All existing core programs, such as MSP and technology partner programs, will transition to Mimecast Partner One in the company’s fiscal year 2025. Mimecast will continue to evolve the program and extend partners’ capabilities to amplify their value proposition and propel Mimecast’s global expansion.

“As part of our program and development process, we engaged key partners in different markets to shape the new reseller partner program,” de Boisset said. “In validating the program, we also implemented a pilot program with a select set of partners to test and validate our new reseller program in support of our partner-first GTM motions. The impressive results accelerated our plans to roll out the program worldwide.”

Mimecast Partner One will “significantly” simplify and streamline how partners work with Mimecast, he said.

“With our growing product portfolio, ongoing market expansion and ever-changing customer needs, we recognized the need to evolve our channel strategy to continue driving global scale and consistency while enhancing the partner experience,” de Boisset said. “Mimecast Partner One will help us balance these important objectives while aligning to our partners differentiated GTM strategies.”
