Title: Channel Sales Manager

Years in position: 2.5

Years in channel: 2.5

Main channel goal: “My primary goal is to help each of my partners achieve dramatic revenue growth in the most effective and efficient manner. To do this, I strive to understand the unique culture and business strengths of each of my partners — then we work together to create a true partnership. I listen to them and help them combine their individual goals and objectives with Qwest’s, and together we create mutual success.”

Biggest challenge: “My biggest challenge is information overload — and the absolute necessity to provide critical information to my partners that will lead to their success. I constantly face a mountain of available data that I need to organize into a quick-and-easy format so I can help my partners understand and use it. In addition to their revenue base, I keep my partners up to date on new technology and all the products and services that are essential to serving their customers well and attaining their goals.”

What traits do you exhibit that you think make a top channel manager? “Willingness to tackle all the obstacles, both internal and external, that stand in the way of my partners’ success and the satisfaction of their customers. In addition, I work to cultivate and maintain key relationships, with both partners and internal staff. Above all, I feel it is important to be constantly available and responsive to my partners.”

Currently volunteering at: Barrow Neurological Institute.

What agents say about Julie:

“Julie supports her partners in every way possible, whether it be call blitzes for new agents or by picking up the phone to help close sales. Julie has tremendous knowledge in telecom and is truly an asset to our agency.”

— Kristi Chaddick, Director, Genesis Network Solutions

“Julie Rollins helps make our job of staying in front of the customer much easier so that we can increase our sales. All too often, salespeople can be ‘taken out of the game’ due to the day-to-day issues that may arise when pricing, ordering and implementing services. Julie is great at bringing together the top Qwest internal people to get the job done quickly and efficiently.”

— Matt Brown, Principal, CarrierBid Communications
