RapidScale will integrate Aqua Connect’s remote access and virtualization solutions with its own CloudOffice and CloudDesktop solutions.

RapidScale said it will be the first cloud computing company to offer an application-agnostic desktop-as-a-service platform.

“This is more than a partnership, it is a commitment to creating and delivering the most advanced desktop-as-a-service platform in the world,” RapidScale CEO Randy Jeter said. “I believe this partnership truly embodies the future of the cloud.”

The companies have laid out a cloud development road map, first unveiling CloudStrength, a real-time virtualization monitoring solution integrated into every desktop-as-a-service user deployed within RapidScale’s CloudOffice or CloudDesktop.

They plan to follow that up with a CloudApps management engine, storefront and billing system; a desktop-as-a-service analytics and auditing system; and CloudShare, a cloud computing file-sharing and collaboration tool.
