Plantronics, which makes wireless headsets, has added rewards incentives and education modules to its Connect Partner Program.
The company this week unveiled three components “designed to make our partners more competitive, better prepared and richer,” said Roland Rice, vice president of channel sales. They will be rolled out worldwide in phases.
First, there’s deal registration. Plantronics’ version of this industry practice gives partners the chance to let the vendor know they’ve got priority on a potential sale; it also lets them earn higher margins for notifying Plantronics about qualified opportunities.
Next, Plantronics has launched Connect University. The online platform provides training, sales specializations and partner certifications.
Finally, there are new rewards for selling Plantronics gear, finishing training, and attending events and webinars. Plantronics has constructed an online points program for this type of engagement as well as for sales. Partners redeem points online for prizes including electronics, luxury products, fashion, home goods and more.
Plantronics’ Connect Partner Program already includes customer trial units, channel employee purchase discounts, event support and marketing development funds.
