Master agent Telecom Consulting Group (TCG) is buying Global Systems Telecom.
Dan Pirigyi, partner at TCG, spoke highly of Global Systems Telecom co-founders Mark Solomon and Paul Silicato, who started the company in 1993. They met Pirigyi in 1999 when he was working as a channel manager for Business Telecom Inc. (BTI).

“Global Systems was one of the early pioneers of master agency. The current masters operating today owe a debt of gratitude to early master agents like Mark and Paul who advocated for, and shaped this business for the agent community. We’re proud to be able to carry on their legacy and welcome their partners into the TCG family.”

Global Telecom Systems’ Paul Silicato
“We are proud to pass the torch to Dan and TCG,” Silicato said. “We have the utmost respect for him and his team. And we know that TCG will continue to produce amazing results for their partners and the carrier community.“
TCG executives said the purchase illustrates their company’s financial strength.
“We want to let the agent community know that we aren’t for sale, and are in major growth mode, and expanding into new markets across the country,” Pirigyi said. “As a family-based master agency with zero debt, no quota requirements, pass through of bonuses, and evergreen commissions for our partners, TCG is a safe and secure home for your accounts.”
TCG hinted at its financial state this summer when it announced several personnel appointments and supplier agreements. Pirigyi in a LinkedIn post vowed to increase TCG’s staff further.
Global Systems operates out of Coconut Creek, Florida. TCG is 21 miles away in Fort Lauderdale.
The master agent channel seems to feature one or two significant acquisition announcements each year. Last year AppSmart made waves with purchases. The AppDirect subsidiary brought together WTG, Telegration and CNSG. Other notable master agent acquisitions include Telarus absorbing CarrierSales in 2017 and ScanSource buying Intelisys in 2016.
