Kevin Gilroy Leaves SAP Channel

Kevin Gilroy, senior vice president and general manager of SAP’s Global Small and Mid Market Segment and the company’s senior vice president of Global Channels, has stepped down from his role as channel chief, according to a published report.

Gilroy’s leave was confirmed by an SAP spokesperson, who said he planned to pursue other opportunities. The company has yet to make an official statement, and plans to inform partners of Gilroy’s departure within the next few days.

Update: The VAR Guy has reached out to SAP’s channel team but learned that Gilroy is not taking interviews at this time.

Rodolpho Cardenuto, president of SAP’s Global Partner Operations organization, is slated to take over Gilroy’s responsibilities until a replacement can be found, according to the report. Gilroy previously reported to Cardenuto in his role as head of the company’s Global Small and Mid Market Segment.

Prior to his time as global channel chief, Gilroy held a number of executive-level positions at SAP, including senior North American vice president and senior vice president of North America. He has been a member of the channel community since the 1980s, and has worked for companies including Arrow Electronics (ARW), Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) and OnForce.

The VAR Guy will continue to update the story as more information becomes available.
