ITS Named Exclusive Master Agent for Hudson Fiber Network

By Khali Henderson

Master agent Interactive Telecom Solutions Inc. (ITS), Paramus, N.J., announced this week it has become the exclusive agent for its sister company, Hudson Fiber Network (HFN), also based in Paramus, N.J., a high-bandwidth, low-latency network solution provider specializing in the financial services industry.

As a result of the agreement, ITS’ agent partners can now serve financial customers by connecting them to major exchanges throughout North America with HFN’s X-Change Connect, which offers ultra low-latency connectivity across the shortest-distance fiber routes. In addition, HFN offers guaranteed microsecond SLAs.

The agreement also marks the launch of HFN’s partner program, according to HFN CEO Keith Muller, who said all agent leads generated by HFN will be referred to ITS. He also said HFN will consider granting additional master agencies at the conclusion of ITS’ 24-month exclusivity period if ITS is unable to service the volume agents.

ITS and HFN have common ownership and management, but are distinct companies in that they have separate books and there are no subsidiary relationships, Muller said. Muller and Brett Diamond are owners and serve as CEO and president, respectively, of both companies.

Established in 2002, ITS has a worldwide network of Ethernet, PBX, data integrators, cabling and consulting firms. Its agent programs features upfront and residual commissions as well as an online portal, which provides tools and reports to manage accounts and commissions. ITS also has relationships with carriers, such as Verizon Communications Inc., Qwest Communications International Inc., AT&T Inc., PAETEC and Level 3 Communications Inc.

HFN, also founded in 2002, owns its fiber network, which delivers key IP and network services in and among the top U.S. metro markets and around the globe. Its services include basic Internet connectivity (T1 through 100Gig), Gigabit Ethernet and wavelength networks.
