Gradient MSP just received almost $10.3 million in new funding to improve integrations and business automation. Anthos Capital led the recent investment round, while StoneMill Ventures, Gula Tech Adventures and Accelerate Fund III also are backing Gradient MSP. The money will help the company bolster productivity and profitability at scale.

Colin Knox is CEO of Canada-based startup Gradient MSP.

“We are excited to share the news of our Series A funding, and very motivated by the immediate and long-standing impact this flow of capital will have on our ability to inspire and empower today’s MSPs with more intelligent business automation — netting them greater customer value and ultimately making it easier to account for and get paid for everything they do,” Knox said.

The company’s research found the average MSP misses out on up to 10% of its monthly recurring revenue (MRR) billings.

“Far and wide, MSPs do not have access to the insights or technology needed to make better business decisions, solve administrative challenges and create a ‘kickass’ experience for everyone — and to top off the list, they are not capturing or being paid for all the services they deliver,” Knox said. “Gradient MSP is on a mission to change this reality on a global scale in 2022.”

Long-Term Strategy

Gradient MSP will use the investment funds to accelerate its strategy across three main categories. Through technology innovation, the company will introduce Billable, an automated billing reconciliation solution making its debut in the channel this month. Gradient MSP plans to hire another 50 employees by the end of the first quarter of 2022. This will increase its workforce to 60 full-time and fully remote employees. Gradient MSP will also expand its partner resources to include more in-person and on-demand training and events. Moreover, the company intends to introduce in-depth research with localized, regional and global MSP performance trends and insights.

Gradient MSP’s Dave Goldie

“We’re serious about the success of every MSP and exist to have a positive and lasting impact on the channel, the IT industry and businesses worldwide who are realizing the significant role the MSP plays in their success,” said Dave Goldie, Gradient MSP’s vice president of channel. “The technological innovations and insights we’re bringing to market will shift spend in favor of the MSP, and the advancements around the MSP business model will bring clarity to their purpose and help bolster their productivity and profitability at scale.”

Gradient MSP will unveil its vision for the future of the IT channel on Nov. 17 at the company’s virtual industry conference, Leg Up. MSPs and channel vendors worldwide can attend for free.
