Arrow Electronics (ARW) has named longtime executive Sean Kerins president of its Global Enterprise Computing Solutions business, with current president Andrew S. Bryant taking on the role of COO of the company’s Global Components and Global Enterprise Computing Solutions businesses. In his new role, Kerins will be in charge of providing enterprise and midrange computing products, services and solutions to the distributor’s VAR, ISV and system integrator network.

“Sean’s leadership at Arrow and his extensive industry experience will serve the company well as he succeeds Andy in leading our global enterprise computing solutions business,” said Arrow chairman, president and CEO Michael J. Long in a prepared statement.

Prior to his promotion, Kerins served as president of the company’s North American Enterprise Computing Solutions business. Bryant, who held the role since 2008, will continue reporting to Long as he transitions to his new position.

“Andy’s proven track record makes him the ideal executive to further advance our sales and marketing strength across our core businesses,” said Long.

Kerins joined Arrow in 2007 as vice president of the Enterprise Computing Solutions Storage and Networking Group. Prior to his tenure at Arrow, Kerins worked in various roles in sales operations, marketing and professional services with EMC and as an industrial engineer for General Motors.
