A contributing factor to success in business comes from keeping pace with the industry. To accomplish that goal for your customers, you have to maintain their ability to execute. Keeping their business-critical systems running isn’t optional; it’s what keeps their business afloat, the phones ringing, emails arriving, information flowing, and transactions processing the activities that put money in the bank.

The latest release of Veritas Backup Exec 15 helps your customers avoid the costly downtime associated with an outage of their business-critical services, keeping critical systems operational and allowing their employees to focus on what’s important: driving the business forward.

Backup Exec 15 delivers on:

  • Converting customers’ backups into standby virtual machines so they never have to run a recovery again. Simply power on the virtual machine and put it on the network.

  • Recovering servers and data in minutes to their original location or an alternate location, even to the cloud.

  • Protection that spans across your customers’ physical systems and virtual environments.

  • Deduplication that helps your customers complete backups faster and reduce their backup storage.

Plus, the now available Feature Pack 2 for Backup Exec 15 builds on the above-mentioned core strengths by bringing to market new platform support, enhanced capabilities that address your customers’ top needs for hybrid cloud environments, as well as several other exciting new features:

  • Backup Exec Cloud Connector provides seamless and secure integration with public cloud providers including Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).

  • Feature Pack 2 provides support for several platforms, including: Exchange 2016, Exchange 2013 CU9 and CU10, VMware vSphere 6.0 Update 1, VMware vSphere 5.5 Update 3, LTO-7 Tape Library Support including IBM TS3500, and Windows 10 Client w/o SDR.

  • Automatic Priority Backups: With Backup Exec, customers can now tag their business-critical data within a single job to determine and prioritize the order in which those critical resources are protected.

  • Now with in-product support for Exchange 2013 & 2016 IP-Less Data Availability Groups (DAGs): Backup Exec 15 enables customers to set one or more preferred nodes within the cluster that will perform a backup/restore operation.  Supporting IP-Less DAGs provides your customers with the ability to adopt Exchange 2016 at their preferred pace and scale using Backup Exec to protect their data.

  • Enhanced supportability makes it easy and quick for administrators to self-remedy without the need for technical support when encountering network errors.
