Optical Entertainment Network (OEN) announced today at TELECOM 05 that it has signed a long-term digital IP carriage agreement with ViewNow, a Los Angeles-based company that will provide OEN with all of its video on demand (VOD) programming.

OEN has acquired programming agreements for IPTV distribution from top programming television networks and will deliver more than 400 television channels, including 50 plus channels of HDTV to subscribers starting in December 2005.

ViewNow includes VOD programming from major studios as well as special interest and adult programming. In addition, ViewNow offers VOD transport services for VOD/SVOD/FVOD programming from many of the major networks. The service will be launched over OENs FISION service in Houston, Texas in December of this year.

Our ViewNow contract is very important to us and we have been thrilled by their vote of confidence in our robust and secure platform, says Thomas Wendt, CEO of OEN. ViewNows extensive collection of IPTV VOD programming and their innovative ViewTrak activation software will be a very important part of offering our subscribers the very best in on-demand services.
