CompTIA Names Board of Directors at 25th Anniversary Event

Brian D. Wiser, senior vice president of sales and vendor management, North America, for Ingram Micro Inc. was elected chairman of the CompTIA board of directors at the associations annual Breakaway conference, being held this week at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. CompTIA is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a global association for the IT industry. The group has more than 22,000 member companies in more than 100 countries around the world.

David Roberts, senior vice president of Americas Sales for Websense, Inc., was elected vice chairman. M.J. Shoer, president and virtual chief technology officer for Jenaly Technology Group Inc. in Portsmouth, N.H., will serve as secretary. Jim Wittry, director of operations for ATEN Technology, Inc., was elected treasurer.

Romanowski, executive vice president, ASI System Integration Inc.; Oli Thordarson, CEO, Alvaka Networks; Jay Tipton, owner and vice president of business solutions, Technology Specialists; Angie Wong, CEO, Network Designs Integration Services Inc. The immediate past chairman of the CompTIA Board of Directors, Wayne Mize, vice president, Netsourcing Business Center in the Document Solutions and Services Division of Ricoh U.S., will continue to serve on the board as an ex-officio member.
