Synnex on Thursday unveiled a series of new end-to-end channel services designed to further support partners’ cybersecurity and cloud practices built around Palo Alto Networks‘ security operating platform.

Synnex’s pre-and post-sales professional services, managed security service and cloud migration services address the deployment of on-premises and cloud-based applications, as well as workloads and transformation services focused on visibility, control and enforcement.

Synnex’s Reyna Thompson

Reyna Thompson, Synnex’s senior vice president of product management for North America, tells us Synnex and Palo Alto have worked together for more than eight years. The companies continue to work closely to ensure alignment on the services Synnex delivers to the Palo Alto reseller partner community through the channel, she said.

“The services available through Synnex enable reseller partners to support their end customers’ needs across all Palo Alto Networks product platforms,” she said. “Many times, resellers are not equipped or staffed to provide end-to-end services, and we are able to eliminate that challenge by allowing partners to deliver these services by leveraging Synnex offerings.”

Synnex’s Palo Alto support team specializes in partner onboarding and enablement, Thompson said.

“In working daily with the partner community, Synnex has developed a deep understanding of what Palo Alto Networks partners need in order to be successful and grow their business,” she said. “It has become evident that partners need the ability to offer services to not only be able to fully support their end customers, but also to augment their overall business and maximize profitability.”

As demand increases on businesses to move workloads into the cloud, Synnex wanted to ensure that “we were supporting our partners by offering them a way to package the security solutions for these workloads, along with the services required to stand up the solution across all major cloud platforms,” Thompson said.

“In effect, we are augmenting our partners’ capabilities, allowing them to sell more cloud security solutions and be backed by a trusted partner,” she said.

“Our distributors are continuing to make significant investments in resources and competencies in the areas of professional services, partner technical enablement and post-sales end-user support,” said Jason Beal, Palo Alto’s senior director of Americas distribution and commercial channels. “This new set of comprehensive services and support from Synnex provides our NextWave partners with additional capabilities to optimize their end-users’ cybersecurity posture — from initial proof-of-concept to migration away from legacy technologies and ongoing asset life-cycle management.”
