Spiceworks has released an application that IT professionals can use to monitor and manage their servers and network devices in real-time.

The Austin, Texas-based remote monitoring and management (RMM) software provider said its new release, Spiceworks Network Monitor, gives IT departments details about the health and availability of their servers and network devices, making it easier for them to keep their infrastructures up and running at all times.

“We’re accelerating our development efforts and expanding the Spiceworks platform in a way that provides the IT community with the capabilities they need to be more effective and responsive to the needs of their organization,” Sanjay Castelino, Spiceworks’ vice president of marketing, said in a prepared statement.

Spiceworks Network Monitor can help users better understand what is happening in their IT environments, according to Spiceworks.

The app features:

  • Configuration options.

  • Dashboard that shows network utilization and server activity.

  • Real-time alerts.

Spiceworks also noted this tool can be installed and up and running on a Windows-based server in as little as 10 minutes.

The Spiceworks Network Monitor app is free and available for download here.

Spiceworks is used by 6 million IT professionals and 3,300 technology brands each month, and CEO Scott Abel recently noted his company is focused on expanding to new applications and resources to help make IT professionals’ lives easier.

“IT professionals and technology brands have spoken – Spiceworks is where IT goes to work,” Abel said in a prepared statement. “We’re reinventing a multi-trillion dollar industry by coupling the best professional networks have to offer with the tools and resources IT professionals and vendors need to get their jobs done.”
