ManageEngine’s OpManager Android App: What Does It Mean for MSPs?
IT management software provider ManageEngine today launched a new Android app for OpManager. The app enables IT administrators to monitor the performance of their managed devices from any location, according to the company. Here are the details.
First some background. OpsManager is ManageEngine’s “network management platform that helps large enterprises, service providers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manage their data centers and IT infrastructure efficiently and cost effectively.”
The company said that the platform offers the following features:
- Automated workflows
- Configurable discovery rules
- Extendable templates
- Intelligent alerting engines
IT admins can use the OpManager Android app to view the performance of their devices and troubleshoot instantly, ManageEngine said.
The app also allows IT admins to:
- Acknowledge alarms
- Create custom dashboards and widgets
- View all alarms raised and categorize them by severity
- View the performance of all of their IT devices
“Network management has to be 24×7, but people shouldn’t be confined to the office 24×7,” Dev Anand, ManageEngine’s director of OpManager product management, said in a prepared statement. “OpManager’s Android app for network management is a great tool to keep you in control of your IT, no matter where you are. Alarms reach you at your mobile, making it possible to identify issues and initiate troubleshooting for devices – directly from the app.”
The OpManager Android app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play app store.
