RapidScale’s Scott Ward

RapidScale hired a new solutions engineer who spent the last six years with Verizon.

Scott Ward is the managed cloud services provider’s new senior solutions engineer. RapidScale says Ward is tasked with giving technical training to employees and partners and being a “subject matter expert” for the company.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the RapidScale team,” Ward said. “I believe my extensive technical background, as well as my last 10 years dedicated to the cloud and managed services, will further enhance RapidScale’s highly effective team and our customers’ experience.”

Ward worked for Verizon Enterprise Solutions and Terremark as senior sales engineer from September until March of this year. He helped customers in the verticals of oil, gas, entertainment and retail. He also worked for a year and a half as a managed services specialist for Sungard Availability Services. Other past employers include The Planet and Amerex.

“We are very excited to have Scott join our expanding team of talented professionals,” said Duane Barnes, RapidScale’s senior vice president of technology. “Scott has a wealth of experience coming to RapidScale from Terremark and SunGard and we’re lucky to have him on the team. I’m confident our sales partners and customers will appreciate his attention to detail and consultative approach to engineering cloud solutions.”

RapidScale hired a new director of service delivery last month and has made multiple hires to bolster its channel team.
