Egnyte has appointed Johnna Bowley, previously with Rubrik and Citrix, to its sales leadership team as vice president of global channel sales and go-to-market (GTM).

In this Egnyte channel leadership role, Bowley leads an organization focused on driving leverage and growth across MSPs, VARs and value-added distributors (VADs).

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in September.

Egnyte has an industry-leading product offering for secure content collaboration and governance that is tailor-made for MSPs,” Bowley said. “The company is doubling down on the success it has experienced with MSPs and committing significant resources to expand and focus its business on building out a broader channel partner ecosystem. This is an incredible opportunity to build out a world-class partner ecosystem. And I’m excited to be part of an organization that recognizes the integral role of the channel.”

Extensive History in Channel Leadership

Bowley has more than 25 years of experience in global channel strategy, sales operations and enablement in the enterprise software and infrastructure markets. She’s held top channel and sales positions at Rubrik, Citrix, Riverbed Technology and others.

“The opportunity that Egnyte’s solutions present to our partners to augment their existing data management, security and governance practices is significant,” she said. “We will be looking to work with many of the same great partners that I’ve worked with in the past as we build out our next-generation partner program.”

Egnyte’s partner program does an “excellent job” of providing solutions for MSPs that it designed specifically for SMB clients, Bowley said.

“Given the company’s broad solution capabilities, we believe there is a significant opportunity for resellers and MSPs that serve clients in the midmarket,” she said. “We also have very strong industry-specific offerings. So we will be expanding our partner community to those that have industry-specific practices that match our solution offerings.”

Bowley’s Top Priority

Bowley’s top priority in this Egnyte leadership role is to visit current partners, as well as to reconnect with some former partners that Egnyte believes would benefit from its solutions.

“I am also looking forward to enhancing our current training and certification program, offering partners the opportunity to build deep practices upon Egnyte’s solutions,” she said. “As Egnyte continues to make investments in our partner program, providing better branding and enablement tools will be especially top of mind to drive a different level of experience for our partners.”

Stan Hansen is Egnyte‘s CRO.

“Johnna brings more than two decades of experience and success in channel strategy and growth to our team,” he said. “Her appointment is the next step in our focus to grow and nurture our partner ecosystem and align Egnyte to meet customer demand across a broader market spectrum.”
