Ixia Expands Global Partner Program with New Sales, Specialization Opportunities

Application performance and security solutions provider Ixia (XXIA) is expanding its global Channel Xcelerate Partner Program with new selling opportunities and specialization ratings to differentiate partner offerings.

Application performance and security solutions provider Ixia (XXIA) is expanding its global Channel Xcelerate Partner Program with new selling opportunities and specialization ratings to differentiate partner offerings.

Ixia said the new specializations will recognize partners for the specific skill sets in five particular areas, including application performance, security, virtualization, support and public sector sales.

“Enterprises, service providers and government agencies are investing in technologies to improve application performance and secure valuable data,” said Lori Cornmesser, vice president of Global Channel Sales at Ixia, in a statement “Our Channel Xcelerate program offers a unique lifecycle approach and the enhancements we’re making represent an opportunity for our partners to bring new solutions and value to customers during the design, deployment and operation of their networks.”

Partners will be required to prove that at least 15 percent of their revenue is derived from the specialization area in question, in addition to proving they have dedicated sales and technical teams in place, according to the announcement. At least two employees per partner must have completed Ixia’s training for the company to receive specialization.

The Xcelerate Partner Program, which launched in April 2014, will also see the addition of a new partner portal, virtual enablement tools and additional online training resources to help resellers understand the cross-selling process inherent to the expanded program.

Last year, Ixia appointed former Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) networking executive Bethany Mayer as its president and CEO to replace former Ixia boss Vic Alston, who resigned in 2013 after an audit committee determined that he lied about certain aspects of his professional background.
