Report: Motorola Devour Available This Month

It looks like consumers who are tempted by the New Motorola Devour might be able to get their hands on the device a little sooner than expected.

When the smartphone was introduced last week, Verizon said it would first be available sometime in March. The Devour is the first Verizon phone to feature Motorola’s content delivery service, MOTOBLUR. But now comes news that the Devour will arrive via Verizon’s indirect channel on Feb. 25. Don’t bet your life savings on that, however; the news comes to PhoneArena from an anonymous source.

The Devour might best be described as the Droid’s little brother, marketed to a young, social networking crowd. Key features include a touch-sensitive navigation pad;pre-loaded apps like YouTube, Gmail, Google Talk and more; and a slide-out, full QWERTY keyboard.

Motorola says to get the most out of Devour, you’ll need to subscribe to a Nationwide Talk or Nationwide Talk & Text plan and a smartphone data package. Nationwide Talk plans begin at $39.99 per month; Nationwide Talk & Text plans begin at $59.99. A smartphone data package runs $29.99.
