The New York Times is now on board with what we’ve thought for the past couple of weeks, saying the Palm Pre will go on sale the first week of June.
In an article published Sunday, the NYT talked with a Palm spokesperson who downplayed the Pre’s super pre-release hype, saying it’s just the first in a series of upcoming Palm products. On the flip side, an analyst interviewed for the article calls it “make or break for Palm.”
The best bet for a specific date still appears to be June 7, a Sunday, which holds with the pattern of Sprint product releases. An ad in Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal is expected to make it official.
