Two moves of note at Avant Communications, the tech services distributor.
Collin Vick (left) begins his career in the channel as a business development representative for the company. Proud mom Kristen is the director of global partnerships at Sprinklr.
That's Ryan Nasiatka on the right, Avant's new strategic partners channel director for the East. Based in South Carolina, he's spent most of his career at Intelisys and ScanSource.
Consolidated Communications, the broadband and business communications provider, hired Sean Baillie as its senior vice president of carrier, channel and hyperscale. He's responsible for strategy, go-to-market and overall performance of Consolidated's carrier and channel business lines.
He most recently was executive VP at QTS Data Centers. Other previous employers include Ciena, Windstream and Level 3.
Scott Mull is the new VP of client operations at Bluewave Technology Group, the technology life cycle provider that's been active buying up traditional telecom agencies.
Mull spent nearly 13 years at Comcast Business and before that, another 13 at Level 3 Communications.
Katie Walls McPherson and Tina Smith are new to the team at C1 (ConvergeOne), which bills itself as a customer experience solutions provider.
McPherson (left), director of field and partner marketing, spent about six years each at 8x8, Synnex and Cbeyond.
Smith, VP of field and channel marketing, spent seven years at Sprint and 20 at CenturyLink.
Both worked with C1 CRO John DeLozier at 8x8.
Technology advisor firm Amplix hired Shawn Cordner as its new chief marketing officer.
Cordner, who has 25 years of experience in the technology industry, has worked for Paetec, DataTel Solutions and more.
Nextiva, the "connected conversation" platform, hired Jim Nystrom as its new chief revenue officer.
Nystrom (left) previously was CRO at Dialpad and VP of global sales at contact center provider Five9.
The move follows Nextiva's acquisition of Thrio.

The company also hired Telarus and Bridgepointe alum Paula McKinnon as a strategic partner manager.
Rosemarie Gavin is a new partner marketing manager, supporting service providers, at IT giant Cisco.
Gavin most recently was at ScienceLogic, but you probably know her from her 11 years at Tech Data, and later, TD Synnex.
OPSWAT, which provides critical infrastructure security, added a pair of industry veterans to its channel team.
Andrea Cannon (left) is a new senior channel manager, responsible for leading public sector channel sales for OPSWAT. She was at Dynatrace for six years before this appointment.
That's Barbara Abboud on the right, new director of Americas channel sales. She spent the last six-and-a-half years at F5 Networks.
Distributor Arrow Electronics just hired Matthew Thomas as a supplier manager.
His career path includes a who's who: Cisco, Windstream, AT&T, Nextiva and Dell.
Cybersecurity company Xcitium promoted Dani Pickens (left) to head of global channel sales and Kimberly Jackson (center) to inside channel manager (Central).
New to the team is Jessica Taussig (right), director of channel sales (Mountain West). She most recently was at Intermedia, but you might know her from RingCentral or Polycom.
UScellular alum Laura Crisp stayed true to her roots, accepting a new role as head of channel strategy and partnerships with AT&T.
She also brings experience from Aeris Communications and TeleCommunication Systems.
Align, the provider of tech infrastructure solutions and managed IT services, promoted Chris Zadrima to chief operating officer.
As managing director, Zadrima oversaw all aspects of the company's managed services practice, including client support, cloud architecture and strategy, project management, network operations center and IT services desk.
Comcast Business announced a series of hires and promotions on its channel team.
Among them (left to right): Justin Jones, partner sales manager; Daniel Gaither, inside partner sales manager; Nicole Saucedo, channel partner sales manager; and Stan Mikita, inside partner sales manager.
Lori Rhubart joined tech solutions brokerage Telarus as a business development manager.
She came over from rival Intelisys, where she worked for nearly two years.
Al Caravelli is the new SVP of strategic alliances and partners at Talkdesk, the contact-center-as-a-service (CCaaS) provider.
Caravelli has had a long career in tech, including executive roles at HPE and Zscaler. This will be his first venture into CCaaS.

Cork, which specializes in cyber warranties, named Nick Wolf its first director of partner acquisition.
The company plans to bring hundreds of MSPs into its fold this year.
Wolf brings experience from a similar role at Evo Security. He also spent eight years at Datto.
Well-known channel marketer Corey Cohen has branched off on her own, opening a new content marketing business with the goal of driving partner sales.
The company, called Content Coast, will feed off Cohen's experience at MetTel, Intermedia and TBI.
In a move it says will bolster international sales, business communications company Mitel appointed Simon Skellon as senior vice president and head of international. He will be responsible for leading the sales strategy of the business in EMEA (not including Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and APAC.
Skellon offers a wealth of experience in unified communications, most recently at Atos Unify. This is a homecoming for Skellon who worked for Mitel for more than 18 years prior to Atos Unify.
In another reunion, Miriam Murphy is back at TD Synnex after a two-year stint as CEO of NTT's Europe division. Her new title is president for Europe.
Europe is where the some of the distributor's biggest business resides. Murphy will lead 7,000 employees and report directly to COO Patrick Zammit.
She was an SVP with the company before leaving for NTT.
RapidScale, a Cox Business company, hired JaNae Ferguson (left) as its newest cloud solutions consultant.
She moves over from the Cox side of the business where she was a client development executive. She's been with the combined company for four-and-a-half years.
On the right, that's Joe Fizor, new senior manager of solution engineering at the company. He comes over after a year at AppDirect, but also sports a combined 12 years at TBI and Insight.
There's a new head of channel at mpro5, the process management app. It's Derek Fisk. The company wants to up its game in partner recruitment this year, and thinks Fisk is the man to get that done.
He has 25 years or experience, including roles at Sony and BlackBerry. He most recently was a senior operations manager at Automata.
Based in Florida, Tom Issler just signed on as a national channel manager with Crown Castle, the network infrastructure provider.
Issler is coming off a short run at LiveVox before its acquisition by NICE. We bet you know him from 8x8, CenturyLink/Lumen or tw telecom.
You're looking at Jared Phipps, the new chief revenue officer at Dazz, the security remediation provider. His last gig was SVP of worldwide sales and solution engineering at SentinelOne, where he helped scale the company's annual recurring revenue from $10 million to more than $650 million over a six-year period.
SageNet, which offers managed network services, named Durga Gandi as its new chief information officer.
She spent the last seven years as VP of IT operations and technology solutions at the American College of Radiology.
Network infrastructure and connectivity provider Zayo Group has a new senior channel manager.
Based in Pittsburgh, Boe Mellor brings recent experience from Vonage and TBI, but he's best known for his 16 years at Paetec/Windstream, as well as five years at AT&T.
World Wide Technology (WWT), the global tech solutions provider, named Dominic Pierce its new VP of global accounts for EMEA.
Before WWT, Pierce spent 17 years at Cisco, where he last was managing director for the company's U.K. and Ireland channel organizations. He was responsible for developing alliances across the Cisco partner community.
Bill Steen just joined Udemy, the education technology company, as its new director of partner marketing. In this role he is responsible for creating and driving marketing campaigns to generate ed-tech sales and grow revenue.
Of course you know him from years at CenturLink/Lumen, Comcast Business and Palo Alto Networks.
With Genesys, the contact-center solutions provider for just two years, Amy Slater keeps on taking new responsibilities. She's now the VP for North American partner, GSI and alliances sales.
It's her fourth different title with the company, having started as VP of global strategic technology alliances.
Palo Alto Networks, Cisco and AT&T are three of her former employers.
Syncro, which offers an all-in-one PSA and RMM platform for MSPs, named Michael George its new CEO.
The former continuum CEO takes over at the B2B SaaS company with the goal of spearheading Syncro's next phase of innovation and growth.
Industry veteran Trisha Coyle signed on with Spectrotel as a new channel sales manager.
The next-generation aggregator gets in Coyle someone who has worked at Observe AI, Nitel, AppSmart and several more companies doing business in the channel.
Everbridge, the emergency-alert software provider that's being acquired by Thoma Bravo, named Mike Jasenof its new senior alliances manager.
He joins the company after two years at Mitel. His other previous employers include Momentum Telecom, NetFortris and Motorola Solutions.
Otava, the supplier of secure, compliant multicloud and data protection solutions for service providers, turned to Christy O'Neil as its new partner manager based in Dallas.
O'Neil's former employers in tech and channel include Nitel, AlertLogic and Nextiva.
Congrats to Deniz Sagnaklar, new chief growth officer at Entara, one of the top-ranked MSPs on the 2023 Channel Futures MSP 501. This is a promotion from director of managed services.
Everett Brooks just signed on with Symphony AI, which offers predictive AI and generative AI solutions for businesses.
Brooks comes over from CrashPlan where he was director of channel sales. Ivanti and Jive Communications are two of his former employers.
Alex Lopez will represent Verkada, the cloud-based building security and operating systems provider, as a channel sales manager in north Florida.
He last spent five years at STEP CG and before that, three years at Jenne, the cloud services brokerage and value-added distributor.
Telesystem, the provider of nationwide managed technology solutions, just hired John Hutnick as enterprise account manager.
It's a big change for Hutnick, who spent nearly 24 years at Windstream. finishing there as a major account development manager.
That's Blake Bjorlin, new channel director at Fatbeam, which offers fiber-based network solutions to enterprise, health care, government and education customers.
He takes the role after three years at Avant and eight at CenturyLink/Lumen.
Jacob Kelly joined Powernet, the tech solutions provider, as vice president of channel sales. The company expects Kelly's experience will help partners find growth in their bottom lines and their understanding of the company's products.
He spent the last two years at Sangoma, and more than a year prior at Star2Star before the former acquired the latter.

And to be honest, this barely scratches the surface of new hires and promotions in a very active indirect sales channel.
For example, the biggest IT companies and distributors were busy last month. Cisco named a new partner marketing manager and TD Synnex brought back a former exec as president in Europe.
The cable companies also were busy adding to their employee rolls. Comcast Business named a series of "channelites," while Cox Business' RapidScale named a new senior manager of solution engineering and a new cloud solutions consultant.
Nextiva, Genesys, Telesystem and Avant were among those in the traditional telco channel getting in on the act.
