Electric Cloud, a San Jose, Calif.-based development and operations (DevOps) and continuous delivery software company, has added former Automic Software executive Wesley Pullen as its general manager and vice president of deployment solutions.

Pullen has more than 20 years of IT and engineering experience, and will lead Electric Cloud’s release and deployment business.

“Wesley is an excellent addition and we are excited to have him join our team,” Electric Cloud CEO Steve Brodie said in a prepared statement. “As a company, we have a relentless focus on powering continuous delivery, and Wesley will be instrumental in advancing our deployment solutions to further unite the entire software delivery lifecycle together for our customers–from build to test to deploy.”

Pullen previously served as vice president of Automic Software’s emerging solutions and global ARA solutions groups. He also has held senior-level and management roles with organizations including:

Pullen added he is excited to help Electric Cloud customers accelerate their software deployments.

“Deployment is a critical part of the continuous delivery model, and I am looking forward to helping Electric Cloud’s customers increase their velocity of deploying software into production to further advance the software delivery lifecycle,” he said.

Electric Cloud expands its operations

Electric Cloud helps software providers “deliver better software faster by adopting continuous delivery solutions … that deliver more frequent, predictable and higher-quality software releases.”

The DevOps software company is growing and continues to search for ways to provide strategic value to its customers.

Electric Cloud secured $4 million in Series E funds in April and relocated its headquarters to a new downtown San Jose office in May. It also launched two continuous delivery products in June–ElectricFlow and ElectricAccelerator Huddle.

Rohit Jainendra, Electric Cloud’s chief product officer, noted his company is working with customers and partners to deliver strategic value.

“For enterprise agile and DevOps initiatives to deliver strategic value, it is imperative that automated continuous delivery programs can manage the increasing complexity of modern software delivery,” he said in a prepared statement.
