Boomi partners have a new leader in channel executive Dan McAllister, who will lead the company’s global partner ecosystem. The software integration provider on Wednesday announced it has tapped the former Salesforce channel leader as senior VP of global alliances and channels.

McAllister led the global partner network at MuleSoft, the software integration business acquired by Salesforce in 2018 for $6.5 billion. According to McAllister’s LinkedIn profile, 38% of MuleSoft revenues were sourced by its partners in its last fiscal year, posting 7% year-over-year growth.

Among the 5,700 sales leads generated, 95% were sourced or influenced by partners, up 20% compared to Salesforce’s fiscal year 2022, and MuleSoft’s ecosystem grew to more than 21,000 certified professionals, he noted.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in March.

Large Number of Boomi Partners

In his new job, McAllister will oversee a network of roughly 800 Boomi partners, which include Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, Infosys and Wipro. Boomi also has alliances with major software and cloud providers, including AWS, Google, Microsoft, SAP and Snowflake.

McAllister was among several new hires made by its recently appointed CEO, Steve Lucas, who replaced David Meredith in December. Meredith, Boomi’s CEO for only a year, had replaced longtime chief executive Chris McNabb. McNabb left after Dell Technologies sold Boomi to private equity firms Francisco Partners and TPG for $4 billion.

Lucas was CEO of Marketo at the time Adobe acquired that company in 2019. One of his lieutenants at Marketo was Greg Wolfe, whom Lucas is bringing in as Boomi’s new chief commercial officer. Before Adobe, Wolfe held roles at SAP, Business Objects and Xerox.

Lucas is looking to expand the ecosystem of Boomi partners. Other hires this week include Troy Anderson, who joined Boomi as global commercial market VP, and Rahim Bhatia is Boomi’s new chief strategy officer.

“Demand for digital connectivity, integration, and automation has never been stronger as organizations across industries face unprecedented market volatility, the rapid pace of technological change, and an increasingly complex software ecosystem,” Lucas said. “These leaders have the experience and passion to take Boomi to the next level as we help organizations solve today’s pressing challenges and capitalize on tomorrow’s opportunities.”
