The company is aiming the solution at enterprise and mid-market organizations in need of bring-your-own-device (BYOD) management as well as corporate compliance and strong security on personal devices in work environments. The company says that MobileNow takes the complexity out of managing multiple types of devices and applications for a diverse workforce. In addition, the AppSense's solution offers MSPs the following new features:
Combined mobile management product — MobileNow combines mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) to ease the burden on IT managers, according to the company. No infrastructure is required with the all-in-one SaaS-based solution. MobileNow also provides providers with the option to use business applications on corporate or personal devices.
Secure and isolated business applications — The solution separates personal and business applications, a common issue with BYOD. IT administrators are also provided with the ability to encrypt and protect business data by setting policies.
AppSense CTO of Mobile Ajay Arora discussed the importance of user flexibility in a statement:
“Companies that embrace enterprise consumerization will fly past IT departments that don’t allow users flexibility. MobileNow frees users of corporate boundaries and enables IT to enforce the security and compliance controls they require over sensitive corporate apps and data.”
